  • This isn't the simplest figure in the world and I'm a little surprised that it is being pesented as of "Bronze" standard. Maybe my dance school is a little underambitious (or just dragging things along in order to accrue greater revenue by way of lesson fees) but it includes this figure in its "Gold" syllabus. Either way, this is yet another excellent clip.

  • Thanks for the comment. This group is in the Silver syllabus, not bronze. But yes, we do teach it in our Bronze II class. Have done so for 15 years!

  • Being more into social dance as a way of having fun I like picking up the steps and just 'winging' it. Always enjoy being able to smile and dance at the same time.

Many thanks for this. I must confess that I'm becoming preoccupied with wondering just how much it costs Andy to have those curtains dry-cleaned. And how the heck does he get them to the dry-cleaners? And why does he always thank us after he's danced a figure? What is it he thinks we've done to merit such appreciation? What is the meaning of life?

In the american style, this is a silver level pattern. In the international style, this is a bronze level pattern. American style is easier to learn as a beginner. International style takes longer to master, so in America, most dancers will learn american bronze style, then either american silver style, or international bronze style, depending on what their teachers prefer.

So yes, this is not a newcomer figure. But in international style competition, it is still in bronze.

  • Could somebody explain what is that "metal" in comments? Eg silver, bronze, gold? Is this is some secret meaning? I see only beginners steps. Nothing gold. Maybe this is silver that they 20 years dancing together? I don't understand.

  • You two are the best! And a special 'hurrah' for Wendy. I'm a guy and I wish she'd partner me - just for one dance.I think I'd be terrific.

Thanks for introducing me to tango. I love it and you two to bits. Billyboy.

  • Absolutely brilliant, this will help me a lot!

  • pls upload more waltz and tango video segments by same couple.. tnx

  • Very good indeed and perfect for the relative beginner. I wonder why he always wears a tie?
