The "thunderstorm in a car" scene from Disney's 1963 B&W comedy "Son of Flubber." Watch as Professor Ned Brainard (Fred MacMurray) of Medfield College and his little dog, Charlie, attack Professor Brainard's rival, Professor Shelby Ashton (Elliott Reid) using Professor Brainard's flying Model T touring car and a "flubber gun." The "flubber gun" causes a miniature thunderstorm to form inside Professor Ashton's car, quickly filling it with water and triggering lightening which strikes Ashton, eventually causing him to crash into the back of a Medfield police cruiser!

  • Thanks for posting the video! I did a Walt Disney project for school on his films during the 60's this really helped!

  • @brauska -

Glad you enjoyed it and happy that it was useful to you for your school project. Those 1960s Disney movies were classics. Much better than most films produced today with all their fancy computer-generated special effects.
