This is a quick demo of how you can approximate the lead synth sound from Da Funk using TAL Noisemaker VSTi (which is free). It's not perfect but it's a little closer than the NI Massive tutorial thats floating around on here, I think. Sorry there's no speaking, mic trouble. There's a comparison with the original near the end of the video.

  • I know it's not perfect, as I said, just an approximation. I was messing around trying to learn how to make sounds from scratch and thought I'd share it in case anyone finds it useful. Thanks for suggestion on 'radio quality' sound, could I achieve that effect with a bandpass filter do you think?
