@63Balance different hair. The death of the "bouffant" and elimination of dark eyebrows and a general change in style from 1960-1970. From the late 1960's on 1967 I think she looked her best. She looked healthier, had a more relaxed hairstyle. She wore more "American" clothes which looks more youthful. Skirts, buttondown shirts, jersey t-shirts, blazers, low heels, Bermuda shorts, pants. Different materials too.

What the hell - 70s and 80s Doris is far more hotter than 50 or 60 s Doris - how did that happen ?

@Rouben19 Actually, if YOUTUBE still has some of the videos up of her work in some films where she's a super leggy singer/dancer, you'd expect her to be at least as tall as Lucille Ball: 5' 7". She's gorgeous and absolutely delicious in the clips from these films.

@nateallen1 I'd say she has been a remarkably under-appreciated Pop singer and VASTLY under-valued actors. Her depth of performance in the Hitchcock film out shone the majority of Hitch's other blondes.

Love Doris Day. My favourite singer of all time. Please visit my channel meryl heasman THE JOURNEY. I song I have written in the hope that one day Susan Boyle may sing it......many thanks.

Sorry I don't agree with posting whole clips. Please if you like what you see support the DVD release and treat yourself to a copy of that it's worth every penny :)

I do too there were so many great songs released in the 1970s that would have suited her voice. This decade maybe more that the 60s could and would have been time for a chart "comeback".
