Yes, I thought it was him. I recognized his face from another cycle tourists travel blog (Bill Weir).
Just wondering, which months are the best to do this journey....and can you advise on the permits that are required to cycle in this region? Thanks

Hi! What an inspiring video. Im going to take one year off, starting from next summer.
How would it be to walk this trp? Are there any spots where you can pick up food and water and a safe place to put up a tent?

Thanks. To walk the KKH from Kashgar to say Gilgit would be a tough and might I say dull trek, especially in China. Altogether it's much more fun on a bike (cheaply bought in Kashi).
Walking would be much more satisfying off the Highway if not actually trekking in the Pakistan KK like Charpusan or anywhere in Northern Areas. But even there you'd need support unless you are very well organised. Pakistan LP has it all and Northern areas (NE Pak) are much safer (Taliban wise) than NWFP. Ch
