There are just absolutely no words for how amazing this is. By far THE best interpretation there is of this Scherzo! Horowitz will always be Horowitz...lol. He always brings amazing/unique things to the table. It's funny because when i was younger, I couldn't stand many of his interpretations, but he has been one of my favorite pianists for years now =)

I really appreciate all the technical comments about this piece here. I really cannot comprehend how anyone could play something so complex (but beautiful)!

@PrincessDesert Umm, you don't break your fingers at that part, it's an easy part to play just keep your thumb on the e and f. Chopin himself did NOT have get surgery everytime he played that part. And the chromatic scale at the end is done like the fingering of any chromatic scale... 2131231312 RH and 313213131321 LH.

I think this is the darkest of the four scherzi. The second seems impish more than dark, and the third angry. And of course, I think this is the best version there is. =]

@wishingonthemoon1 Don't forget the 8:03, make sure you pound it like a killer, and then the rebound smash-pound half a second later where you basically break your fingers, and then repeat the notes through 8:04-06 with the fingers falling off. that's how Chopin did it, he got surgery every time he performed this song...it's what my teacher said = the only way to get the chromatic scale perfect at the end is basically without fingers
