You think St. Thomas looks bad? When's the last time you visited Windsor or Hamilton?

It's really sad, that this video shows all the bad things. He mentions that our down town movie theater was closed. Yet while drive at the Elgin Mall we have a brand new Galaxy movie theater. lol
I know people have been hit hard, but St.Thomas is a GREAT place to live. I also know this video is about 2 years old.. most not all... but most of the stores he showed empty have now been rented. St.Thomas is always changing. This is a GREAT place to live!

Yeah unfortunantely I was born in this godforsaken town. They just tore out the tracks behind where the old Canadian Tire now Vanpelts and starwood is. Starwood is building a new parking lot that stretches nearly to the old M.C.R.R. shops and they just made a huge mess of the place and it's an eyesore and they tore the sole out as far as I'm concerned. St. Thomas has always sucked but not as much as it does now oh and my dad lost his job as well What else is new in this shit hole we call a city?

Crazy, I lived in St. T aswell, but moved to Calgary for work too!! Still live here in Calgary.

This video shows the exact reason why I dropped everything & moved to Calgary. I urge you all to do the same thing! Oil & Gas isn't clean or green but I sure does pay the bills ( & its not going to "close" any time soon!)

Don't panic, it looks nice. In the UK, we're not sure the pound is going to survive, nor pensions. At least you've still got a high street, rather than all malls. But the city needs more population living downtown, to give it vibrancy and people walking around, dining out in the evening. As long as you're still eating, it's okay. Check out Argentina, or Detroit. Chin up, your town looks nice.

Thanks :) Ya, I know things are pretty bad in the UK, man what a mess. It's pretty sad in Detroit, we're only about an hour and a half away
