I actually got to see him play this and he was nice enough to sign my cd. I love the sound of his violin and his expressive vibrato. Zukerman is always an interesting listen because many times he has unique fingerings because of his large hands as noted in the Milstein documentary. This is a wonderful recording more people should know about.

Most of you probably know about Haydn's incredibly prolific output (108 symphonies, and a seemingly endless amount of chamber music including 83 string quartets) and that he was friends with and played music with Mozart, other than Bach he was, for me, the most influential composer until Schubert and Beethoven showed up.

I have uploaded rare out of print and unreleased recordings that are difficult to find, I hope you like them.

Since they are so difficult to find no one should mind me uploading them, if you have issues with me uploading them please send me a message and I will remove them.

  • I have to get a bit used to the "heavy" approach, but his tone is splendid indeed...
