Part II of my interview with Bill Warner, telling the story of how he came to create Avid Technology.

In this segment Bill tells the story of needing to create a promotional video for his former employer, Apollo Computer and how he imagined there was some kind of "computerized editing system" available to get this done. Coming face to face with the cold hard reality of working with linear videotape was a rude awakening but he got the job done and went on to much success with his videos. But the seed had been planted and although it would take a while longer to germinate, he had the knowledge and desire that there was a better way to edit video virtually.
