I think Leila K did the best version back in 1993. Check it out if you havent heard it :) Meader is also very good

@enieczka , the first version was by Plastique Bertrand. In English - it was just translation, really

Lou Deprijck was the voice of Plastic Betrand's version. "Jet Boy Jet Girl" has the same backing track with different lyrics.

@enieczka Lou Deprijck the composer of the melody just sold the melody to two artists. That is not uncommon."Jet Boy Jet Girl" came out in November and Ça Plane Pour Moi came out in December of the same year (1977). I think Ça Plane Pour Moi rocks more than Jet Boy Jet Girl though.

"Jet Boy Jet Girl" is the original lyrics written by Motello. Same song though. Plastic Bertrand used Motello's backing track. I' ve been in touch with Elton Motello (Mr Alan Ward) in person via e-mail concering this matter.

@ZLUGGO oh My God! I didn't even know, that the really FIRST version was in English :O I thought that the original version was made by Plastic Bertrand.. but thank you for this information :)
