BW are too fast but now they are going to be slow so are also spellcaster they need more suppr and yeah lily is still good but only in a life point deck and use giant rats to get her out faster

1st: your Red Dragon Archfiend should've been in your graveyard, before your friend played Lightning Vortex, due to it's own effect.
2nd: You could've been searched for a BW from your deck when you summoned Blizzard, you have the priority to select which effect applies immediatly.
3rd: Your friend paid 2000 LP for the effect of Lily before the battle phase. That effect is only applicable DURING damage step, and can't be countered at the damage step/calculation.
