  • Damn. People have already began to celtify this song.

  • @grobo11 Already? This song is included in an album from the early 70's.

  • @lreland1 It's a very old song. And I'm very old.

  • @grobo11 :D :D

  • i had " henrey joy" by this band as a kid. Wonderful. Will have to seek them out on ebay.

  • I think you can still get some of their albums in commercial music stores. I've also posted Henry Joy.

  • To think that the music that the Column played was illegal still makes me laugh even though there were those who wanted the group silenced they ended up without a voice. To this day as we can see the songs of a few can endure not only time but the might of an empire! Only two words are neeeded......

    ......... Bloody brilliant!

  • thanks a million for putting this and other Flying Column songs up,I was brought up with these songs in the background. What a great voice the man had.

  • @dilloss I don't see that he had a great voice. Sings like he's got something large stuck up his nose

  • @william20100 Its about Jack Hall, and English robber, hanged in 1707. Ex Chimney sweep. First recorded as being a popular song in London in the 1720s.

  • @william20100

    It's an English song.

  • @william20100 No it's not. It's a traditional English song about a chimney sweep who gets hanged.
