If a fish dies in a centerpiece at the wedding 1. its not beta 2 whether it is a beta or any other fish, it was definitely sick from the get go and 3. There are some real irresponsible and arrogant people at the wedding b/c they cant control there kids for one and two, people dont know how to stop someone elses kid from killing a fish. And if its not anyone's business to stop o their peoples kids from acting up then people need stop complaining how inhumane it is.

Also with out any kids at my wedding or immature people and limited quantities of alcohol and being an animal lover, I feel I am responsible to try this as we will have less then 8 vases( 1 per table). Iw ill be doing this, I will have no dead fish and will return them the next day on our road trip to our honeymoon to a store!!!!! If I dont refund them, hI can just give them away to the store!!!!

I disagree with everyone against this idea. Betas are the best fish to use, they are tough fish check wikipedia samarai fish under tank mates. How is it cruel??????If you can take em back to the store???? I know that there are people that dont cae and will flush them afterwards, but there are also responsible people who use them for centerpieces. If you have a tall vase, there is no way a kid is going to get that fish to harm it. I think with many guidelines and research they can be great!!!!!!

not bad but its all about the aqua themed wedding.. the groom dressed as a whale shark. the bride a gold fish the best man is a starfish and the rest of the people in different fish themed outfits and the priest has to be aqua man cuz he can talk to all the sea world wildlife gnar!

I went to a wedding about 2 years ago with gold fish centerpieces and very few of the fish lived throughout the wedding and what few remaining fish were still alive at the end of the evening got brutalized by intoxicated guests. It was horrible and cruel, I would strongly recommend looking at other non living centerpiece options.
