The cross species kiss that rocked the world! Husky kisses deer with disastrous results! Stop the deer menace now! Dog bullied by deer in my backyard! Payback time for all the times he chased deer when he was a puppy. He's not chased deer for a number of years now, guess he realizes that he can never catch them. We've since ran past several deer he seems fine so I'm glad to report that he's not been emotionally scared by this incident - phew!, those doggy shrinks are expensive!!!!

(Please guys before a very small percentage of you get all riled and accuse me of mistreating my dog be aware that you have no idea of how much this guy means to me or how I would never put him in harms way - when he was confronted by a mountain lion who was it that ran toward them both with a rock in his hand. If this deer had done anything to hurt my pooch (see the other YouTube video of an older dog being attacked by a protective deer) I would of intervened and yes I would of gladly stood in front of a judge and explained why I had to do what I had to do to protect my baby and face the legal consequences for it.)

  • NOT FAIR! Poor dog is tied up!

My dog got attacked by a doe protecting her fawns, the deer pummeled my dog really hard, but it was a chance meeting in a field, the deer was just using her instincts. Luckily my dog was able to run away from her.

  • @Hitez09 I didn't perceive the deer's behavior as a threat - that's why I carried on filming. This is a dog that has had contact with every North American beast - Lion, Elk, moose, bear and other such car horses, snakes (ate it), baby deer, porcupine, skunk (skunked), squirrel (-3) so he's not really a scared sissy as some people make out. If the deer at any time had hurt him I'd of intervened similar to the time he met Mr Mountain Lion.

  • Maybe the deer was trying to protect the other deers preemptively

  • @naddogg89 Perhaps, the deer that was messing / playing with my pooch did appear to be the ring leader of the group!

  • dogs scared shitless

  • @Dylan98ize I've never seen this dog scared, he was a little worried in the end but if he was so traumatized by the whole endeavor he'd never go near deer again, this is not the case.

  • @Dylan98ize I completely disagree. The husky is one of the closest relatives to the wolf and if the deer had done anything to show a direct threat the dog would have ripped its throat out. So why don't you stop being a troll please.

  • Deer was probly confused like "why arn't you tryn to eat meh"

  • Thank you for the upload, this was a very interesting interaction and i'm glad you caught it on tape.

  • @JacanaProductions oh i didnt know that they were playing.

  • @kstarBAM Rental, are you going to pay to put up a fence smart arse?

  • @fordv8man For the past 10 years he's been chasing deer. Not really chasing but he always want to go over and say hi. I figured that this was a good opportunity for him to finally meet a deer. He used to this with horses and after he finally had a sniff at one and nipped one on the face :) he doesn't chase them anymore. At no time did the deer hurt the dog, the first time the deer moved towards the dog it's hooves did not touch the dog at all.
