@VINYLTOVIDEO I agree!!! She sings Aida in Chicago next!

Terrific voice and a very beautiful woman - Thanks for the post!

@HeidelbergSoprano Indeed! But only at major houses and usually only for the more complicated recitative sections, which are devilishly hard to memorize, especially for a busy, in-demand artist who would be working on two or three roles at the same time... and not during an aria that Ms. Radvanovsky has probably sung a thousand times in auditions, rehearsals and performances. The concept predates Opera. :)

The singing is fantastic ! the stage setting is horrible and ugly to me. where is the beautiful stage setting of the opera nowadays ? For me, the beauty of the art is a picture can make me dream of the beautiful things, and escape from the cruel reality for a short period of time. A place that I can breath the fresh air for a little longer, that is the beauty of art to me. this is why the visual art on the opera stage setting is so important to the audiences.

Miss Radvanovsky in fine voice, but the prompter was not in his best night.

So, what happened between this and last week`s Met braodcast which I had to turn off so shrieky was she!?

@marioj34 I totally agree with you, Mario! Finally, I 've found here someone who thinks exactly like I do!

can the prompter be quiet? i think she probably knows the damn aria.
Can one celebrate the voice and wish that the set designer not mess with Verdi's setting?
