This is a Stickley style cabinet that I build. It is built from quarter sawn white oak. It has 4 drawers and two doors. It has inlay on both doors. The inlay was done by hand. It was set into the doors using a razor knife and small chisels. The only place I used a router was for the 3 lobes at the top of the inlay. The corner posts are quadrilinear. It was glued up using 5 pieces of wood. You can see more pictures of the construction as well as the finished product at www.townsendboatworks.com

No anti dust-panels between the drawers? Oh man you spoilt the ship for a cent's worth of tar. :) Just joshing!
You made a great job of this my friend. I just wish we could get some decent timber over here. Probably cheaper to buy white or red oak from your country!
Yours in woodwork.

Mate, this is so cool! Your shop is a dream for most of us, poor woodworkers, who are being squeezed to a little garage by the missis. And that vanity .... Man... That is the coolest thing ever!

I think it took over 200 hours to build and put a finish on it. I had to learn how to build dovetail drawers and how to inlay. The inlay was carved into the doors by hand and I remember it took me 38 hours to inlay both doors.

Beautiful shop! Is this your profession? You do good work, looks like you have very high standers with your wood working. I like it all, oh, and I'm jealous....

I restore antique and classic wood boats but I also like designing and building this type of stuff.
