We started feeding raisins to a local catbird 3 years ago. We only see it during nesting season in late Spring. This year, my daughter started putting raisins in her hand and it came right up to her. We will feed it many times during the day. If we are in the yard, it will land on our shoulder. If we're inside, it will flap at the sliding door or window to get our attention. Once the fledglings have left the nest, we won't see it again.

  • We see one of these curious birds in our yard every spring. It's never been that friendly, though.
