  • The Wicca and Witchcraft communities have become so diverse, and solitary practice is so prevalent, which makes this a complex issue. I'm a Witch in a particular Wiccan tradition, and I love it. I respect my HP, and he's no condescending at all. He's very humble and smart and caring. I'd imagine that plenty of Wiccan HPs and HPSs do let their status go to their heads. We have to practice careful discernment when choosing teacher/coven. We can respect them without unhealthily deifying them.

  • also, i hope your stress goes down :/

  • um, i have been told many times, even on youtube, that to become a priestess, you need to pay cash and take all these courses in seminars(most of which are impossible to happen for me right now) and i was wondering if that is true. also, what if you have no access to any training, you just have yourself without any coven to find? i am hoping to be a priestess, and it saddens me to think that i may not be able to.

  • Priest or priestess is not always a title of leadership. There are those who call themselves a priest of a certain God or Goddess..in that use its a servant not a leader.I agree there are some people that do not understand the order of coven hierarchy and often use it as a way to see themselves as above others when they are not.As long as you live you learn so no one can reach that all knowing place.I see alot of this attitude in online communities mostly not in mine, they never last long.

  • lmfao 'that was my facebook not yourrrrrs'

  • I'm not so sure its the titles that are condescending considering its an attitude more than anything. I have to agree with you for the most part though. Too many who haven't gone through the training are considering themselves priest or priestess these days. I already know a number of them do it to feel special, for others it is a power trip thing, and for some it is just not understanding the hierarchy (yes, a priesthood is such) and just claim it simply for lack of knowledge of now it works.

  • LMAO... I totally looked at my facebook when I heard that IM sound

  • 2:10 Lol! I switched over to check who was messaging me :)
