Dorothy and her Friends at last come face to face with the Nome King on his mountain beyond the Deadly Desert of Oz. When her friends have been tricked into defeat, Dorothy herself must try to beat the Nome King's game, rescue the Scarecrow and her new friends, save the crown and Throne from Mombi, restore the Emerald City to its former glory . . . and survive the wrath of the Nome King.
David Shire's music for the Nome King and his Ornament Room (and demise) are collected here together with scans and images from the Return to Oz Colouring book, Little Golden Books "Dorothy in the Ornament Rooms", the Golden storybook, Hippo scholastic book, St Michael Film Favourites, Cinefex, Young Puffin Junior Novel, Random House, Little Golden Book "Dorothy Saves the Emerald City", Movie Novel, Starburst magazine, the back of the Anchor Bay DVD and the Die-Cut Program.
Sorry if again several of the pictures are rushed, but the music again had a short amount of time despite the number of pictures and scenes to be shown. There were also, again, several pictures I wish I had and could use, but it's still good at telling the story.
I was most excited about editing these tracks because again the music is BEAUTIFUL and when it came to the exciting action, and darker part of the story, I was looking forward to trying out a few new effects like an 'earthquake' video generator and a cloud effect - that part of which I'm not so happy about as even with the adjusted speed, it didn't turn out how I'd like, but I did add & adjusted a "sepia" filter to it. Best of all came the Coronation Parade, and we all know what comes next . . .
In fact, let's see how many characters in the Emerald City Coronation Parade you can spot throughout that sequence; I plan on adding Annotations for this soon.
Enjoy, comment and rate!
This film was not the official sequel , but I like to believe it was. Judy Garland I'm sure was proud of this film.
