I've used Logic, FL studio, Cubase and Ableton. Ableton is by far my favourite, it's so much more intuitive and allows a much less restrictive workflow than any of the others.

I hear team ASSiGN do a good discount on Ableton Suite too..

you can record in real time ..you have so much features and effects. vst of course. easy arrangement. much easier sidechain compression. easy automation..high quality sound. its your choice ! but i know both programms and i know the difference. i started with FL Studio..then Reason...untill i´ve tested Ableton. and now i stick with Ableton. it looks simple , it sounds good , and you have much more fun and motivation to work on it.
