officially today (june 1st), ive owned the best horse in the world for an entir year! i love her with all my heart!!! this video tells of our base story, but im still going to type it out.

So, this relationship actually strted 2 months b4 i ever met Sassy. On April 25th, 2009, wehn my 1st horse Moonie, had to be put down after weeks and weeks of struggle. he had had EPM, & unfortunatly, we caught it too late. tht day changed my life forever. after it, i became very withdrawn. i stopped riding, i stopped going online, i stopped hanging out w/ freinds, i stopped doing EVERYTHING. i felt like this big chunk of me had just been ripped off of me, & tht i was only half left.
so for weeks, i barely interacted w/ the world. but thnks 2 help & support from my freinds, i was convinced back into lessons. so, i rode in 2 lessonson 1 of the brns horses, Princess. during the 2nd lesson, my trainer suggested a new hosre. i dont quite know how, but somehow, she convinced me 2 look.
the 1st horse we looked at was Remmy. he was a big, chestnut qrt. horse gelding tht was an excelent hunter. i liked him alot, i was actually ready to put a dwon payment on him, but someone beat me to it, so we kept looking.the next horse was a little bay thoroughbred mare named Do. she was an absolute sweetheart, but she was already 20, & Jenna said tht she probably wouldnt get me far, so the search continued. we went through about 4 more horses, still w/ no sucess.
i was all ready to give up, but jenna said she has 1 more horse she really wanted me to try. she said tht she knew of a woman who had an "accident" warmblood filly tht had nowhere to go. i didnt really want to, but in the back of my mind, i was kind of interested.
so, we went out to this little breeding farm where she was being kept. jenna was waiting there, & as soon as we got out of the car, we were off to see her. as soon as i saw her, i fell in love. she was this little grey, 15hh filly tht had no muscle, but had a beautiful look to her. after i tried her out, Jenna came up & said "so, do we need to keep looking?" one shake of the head was all it took. she was mine.
she came 1 week later, on june 1st, 2009.

since tht day, Sassy has been with me for a year. in tht year, we became closer than close. close enough tht I could take her out in the big front pasture w/ just a lead rope around her neck. close enough tht we could jump 2ft. bareback. ( yes, we could go higher, but i hav 0 confidence, so) close enough tht we could go bareback w/ just a halter on the trail. we became best freinds. best freinds tht spent hours together doing nothing. best friends tht would play tag in the arena. freinds tht would just wander around the pasture together. we became a team.
in this past year, we competed in 3 shows. 2 at home, & 1 at the ark. we also went cross country schooling recently.
we've gone through so much together. & come so far....

all i can truly say is tht i thnk in some weird way, fate wanted it to be this way. from Moonie to noit getting Remmy to getting sassy.
i reslly think this is how it was all meant to be.

I love Sassy more than words can describe, & more thn this video can even begin to.


so, if any of ya'll are wonderin, the reason i havnt been able 2 uploadanything is because my vegas decided to b a diva, & not let me render anything. i can make an entire video, but as soon as i try 2 put it in youutbe form, it either shuts itself off or the screen goes blue. my dads taking it in this weekend, so hopefully it'll b good once i get it back.

@ACrazyRide of course you are!!! your the one who convinced me to give riding one more try after mooney, ur the one who convinced me to get another horse even though i didnt want to, UR the one has always been there for me through E V E R Y T H I N G, & ur my inspiration. ur the person who keeps me going even when i dont want to. <3 u have about 5 chapters all to urself in my book. :)
