  • Very impressive! Amazing strength and perfect form, huge respect man!

  • @jblove53 If you think your biceps are helping significantly when doing a +135lbs chinup you are seriously mistaken.

Yes, chinups are easier in part because the longhead of the bicep is more engaged, but the main reason is the ROM is a more natural movement, allowing for more efficient lat engagement and therefore more weight. The ability to move more weight through a certain range of motion proves that more muscles are being recruited and used.

Keep your bro-science for yourself, please.

  • @godanddevilsucks

If he can do it 5 times with full range of motion then he is not stressing it more than his body can handle.

  • BADASS.

I was expecting half range of motion and some jerking but that was perfect man awesome job much respect.

  • impressive...but very stupid......you are putting a lot of stress on your most critical joint.....

  • @agrelon So we both agree lol. 2 different routes to get there but we have the same idea. I'm glad and you are right. I agree with you as well

  • @jblove53 So you're talking about using the chinup to build the bicep? If that's what you're on about then I agree 100%. I do weighted chinups myself as my main exercise for lat and bicep development. I didn't mention any isolations...

The point I was making is that you shouldn't criticize the fact that he's doing a chinup instead of a pullup. As I've said, the chinups recruit more muscles, which is why they are easier, and why as a result you can add more weight to them.

  • @agrelon chin-ups activate the bicep more. You don't have a argument bro because compounds movements build more mass than isolation any day. You think your biceps are going to be bigger than mine if I just did chin-ups vs your isolation bicep movements? Don't be silly. Do your research before you speak kid

  • @jblove53 And so are pullups... so what's your point?

  • @agrelon It's a compound movement regardless of your statement. Enough said...

  • i can do 1 rep with 135 pounds, and 5 reps of 95. im close!
