Garibaldi didn't aviod Cavour's attempts to stop him. Cavour only tried to stir up revolution in Naples and failed, in an attempt to stop Garibaldi taking all the credit. Cavour didn't come into the picture untill the meeting at Teano. Apart from that, great vid :)
