GoPro Camera Test

I tested the GoPro Hero camera, Its small, light, solid state, and comes with many mounts. I found the bar mount to be the best and most versatile. The camera makes a great image for a consumer grade camera and for the price. The low light response of the camera sucks but it doses work better than most in its price class.
I road with some friends on the trails above UCSC, in the dark forests of Nisens Marks in Aptos and I used it for a shoot featuring the NorCal High School MTB League.
I like it except, as always, I want better resolution, color, and low light response.

What hero type r u using ? Is there any difference in video quality between hero 3 and 5 except for the wide angle view ? i'm planing to get one ...thanks Awesome vid guys...

I think its the 5, It is the wide. This camera is cool, super small and sport-proof and it makes a good image. With that said, I work in the broadcast industry and I would be shot if i tried to use it for anything more than a fun angle in what we refer as poor quality.

If you dont want to spend $1000 on a camera, and your goal is to have fun with your friends and pick up some great vid in the process, and maybe post it on the web, This camera is the best one on the market.. By a long shot!!!!

nice clips! Have you tried the roll bar mount (around the top or down tubes) or just the seatpost mount?

I've gotta agree with you on the color and resolution, but the size it pretty convenient. That last clip should be titled "Johnson-cam" ... if not for any other reason that to satisfy my frat-boy sensibilities. Of course, I'm sure that, while they may be secretly tickled, the GoPro marketing team wouldn't be amused.
