Improv. for cold fingers - Quiet Bear Native American drone flute in G

The music is an extension of a piece by Allen Bruce Ray (AKA Piriajeoshi on Youtube) called `Improv. for cold fingers'. Hope you don't mind me borrowing your tune, Bruce... Check out the Piriajeoshi channel - there's some great stuff on there. He's got a huge collection of different Native American flutes.

The flute here is one I made from a couple of Quiet Bear flute kits. I always liked the kind of drone flute made from two seperate flutes but these are always widely flared so you can hold it just like a solo flute. The other sort, the shotgun kind, always look so solid and lumpy so I came up with this design which is half way between the two. Although they're a little flared the drone side just sits comfortably in my hand.

@sakurakicksyou Thanks for the compliment. Although I've been a musician for a long time now, I haven't been playing the Native American flute for very long. They're great for improvising on - just take a short theme, like from the beginning of this song & then go where the spirit of the moment takes you...

@sakurakicksyou Hey Sakura, Im just about to receive my first drone in the mail, and Im so excited!! Ive played feadogs (irish flutes) and also a duduk for a few years now but never a drone. Are they much different? Is it hard to learn? What do you find is your biggest challenge? Thanks=)
