Tabula Rasa : How to take out the Bane Mortar Cannons

People ask how to take out Bane Mortar Cannons quite often. When you tell them how, sometimes they still don't quite get it. Here we'll show you how to take out a Bane Mortar Cannon.

What you'll need:
1) Decently high EMP bomb for the cannon's level (I used a level III EMP bomb for this level 20 Bane Cannon)

2) EMP weapon, preferably an EMP chaingun.

3) Cover + Rage helps (I'm using Rage 5)

Get behind some cover, and plan your attack. Once you get setup, keep the weapon and the EMP bomb selected on their respective hot-bars. Once you move towards the cannon, you're committed. Don't chicken out half way unless you absolutely have to.

Try to get to a side of the cannon or behind it so you have some time when the cannon tries to turn to face you. Drop an EMP bomb. Backup a bit (EMP bombs don't hurt players or allies anymore) to get a good firing position. Make sure to crouch; this increases your damage. Wait for the EMP Bomb to go off, and let it rip.

Sometimes I'll just close my eyes when I'm shooting the cannon and open them only when I hear the Bane Cannon explode or my death screams.

Can you use swords of any kind or what?

u can use blades when u choose the 'spy' class.

the best way for me is the emp torqueshell rifle, just aim well and shot them, they will blow up in seconds

Anyone in the soldier class shouldn't have any problems with mortars...it's those in the specialist who usually have trouble with them. Because they don't get chainguns or rage.
