  • "any other tricks or secrets to your rig?"

"just fingers. just fingers and technique"

if only people realized that a little more. it's not what you play or what's in your rig... it's how well you play. skill > gear 10 times out of 10.

  • Damn, i was hoping that Al Di Meola las going to be on the RTF tour.

  • @jomarthegreat1 Which is why Stanley Clarke doesn't play expensive, high-end basses.

  • Nothing beats a warm box

  • This kid has some talent. He may go places

  • the legend!

  • @jomarthegreat1 That's why you are looking at this video :)

  • @jomarthegreat1 yeah ive played one too many gig with cables and pedals that shit out on me so i spent the money on good gear. and i definitely agree that all the gear in the world won't make you a good guitarist if you suck to begin with

  • @TheCollisionofworlds Yeah man, I agree. I probably should have said that "it's not ALWAYS about what you play or what's in your rig"... still, I stand by my statement about how well you play. But of course, nobody wants to play through a shitty amp or have cables/pedals/etc that constantly crap out or kill your tone.

  • @jomarthegreat1 gear helps with skill though. if you dont have a good sound you wont be motivated to play. also if you play metal or punk like i do the tone makes a huge difference, but if couldnt play it wouldnt matter about the tone.

  • The way he's rubbing that upright, I expected it to grow a leg and start thumping it. The way my pug reacts to a good belly rub.

  • JUST SAY NO!

  • Nice RACK!!!!!!1

  • besides watching Sir Paul on the tubes (tv) w/ his bandmates, Mr. Clarke was the first "BASS PLAYER" that i took notice when i witnessed a live gig (enjoyed very much) he did w/ the original "Return to Forever" lineup @ Lehman College lawn in The Bronx, NYC c.1973..a memorable night that i will never forget! =o)

  • @Djibinho : i 2nd that motion! ;o)

  • Awesome rig, didn't know it got that complicated with bass gear.

  • I seriously wonder how many pre-amps, amps, and power amps one person really needs.

  • now That's an oboe!

  • As well as being a polite, respectful and knowledgeable interviewer, is it just me or does Rebecca also get even better looking?

  • Stanley Clarke. Jesus loves You

  • they didnt mention the pop's rosin that was on the table with the EBS gear lol

  • @robibm2003

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind! :)

  • @yobhsiFehT

Get the Romantic Warrior cd by Return to Forever. It's their best record and it smokes from start to finish.
