Johnny may be best known now for his association with Robert Johnson, but he was an accomplished bluesman in his own right. This record is from 1953 and the legendary Big Walter "Shakey" Horton plays the harmonica.
I am a new student of the harmonica and my teacher sent me to youtube the greatest! Thank you so much for posting this! The tempo is staggeringly (new word) fast for me to play along with but this is awesome!!!!
Further to my previous posting I would like to add that this swings like crazy and - just like the fantastic 'Mystery Train' by Elvis, Scotty & Bill - there's no drummer, folks.
The other side of the 78 rpm issue, 'Brutal Hearted Woman', is a great record, too.
In passing, I would like to salute and thank Mike Rowe for alerting me to this beautiful music back in 1966.
shortrax, this is just super "stuff".new to this listener and i've been "baptised". thank you soooo much for the experience and the growth. tom d brick,nj
I prefer Big Walter over Little Walter any time !!! And Johnny shines has one of the best voices in the blues !!! I saw him perform at Chicago's Navy pier at a party thrown by Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream shortly before Johnny left us. RIP Johnny & Walter !!!

One of the best songs ever! Some of Walter Horton's best playing, too.
