  • I FOUND THIS RECORD AT A GARAGE SALE,NEVER HEARD IT BEFOR,SO I INVESTED A QUARTER...BEST QUARTER I EVER SPENT...THANKS FOR POSTING.

  • The "Joan" and "Josephine" on this record are actually sisters who lived across the street from songwriter Bill Jacocks in '58.

The group was so nervous they flubbed several takes before a case of " Champale" ( a popular

beer at the time was brought in). After the "refreshment" break, the slightly buzzed singers nailed the 2 takes you hear on the record.

"My Joan" was released as the "A" side, despite the

label (R 3000B) designation. Cleveland DJ Pete 'Mad Daddy' Myers was 1st to air it.

  • Mike wanted me to post this but I was waiting for you to have the honors.. especially since you were nice enough to send me a copy of the record!

  • Fantastic song :))
