Love your uncles work (with Squeeze, and Glenn Tilbrook as well as solo) over the years. Glad you got a chance to see the Late Nite performance. Did they (Squeeze) get back together for this summer? I believe I heard that somewhere. Take care Joe X

Anyone have a copy of Squeeze's MTV concert fimed on a beach in Fla? (early 90's) I got it but in mono. They were doing Hourglass / Footsteps etc. has anybody Squeeze videos or concert material available on VHS / DIVX or DVD (VOB)? There's links on You Tube, but not to download or purchase. I cannot come up with anything to buy or Torrent. Anybody have a source?

Yep: It's Paul and the Boys subbing for the rest-o-the band, just like the XTC clip I've also posted. (Sorry I did not cut the XTC clip a bit cleaner to get rid of the Tom Petty stuff @ the start - Oops!) I dug through some old VHS tapes to come up with this peformance.

I really hated that period of Letterman's show where that TOTAL LOSER Paul Shaffer insisted on that band and he intruding on every artist's performance. What a dip-sh*t! It would have been nice to have all of Squueze playing this song and Paul tied to a pole on the street!

ive never heard this song - im still relatively new to squeeze, although my hunger for them is insatiable, so im not sure which would be correct, to say that this sounds like a rewrite of 'hourglass' or that 'hourglass' is a rewrite of this. either way, hourglass is a better song. this isnt bad, hourglass is just better.

One of my fav songs from Squeeze. Nice to see this, I have it on an old vhs tape, bad picture and sound - nice to really see it for a change!

The album this came from, "Play", is one of the most criminally underrated albums ever, even by Squeeze standards. It's a true gem that never got it's due.

This is a great clip. I remember seeing this when it first aired and I might still have it on VHS somewhere. Love live Squeeze!!!!

I dunno why, I quite like the fact they did this, even if it's an inherently stupid and artistically insulting rule to have for musical performers on the show. Check the Pixies' performance of 'Trompe Le Monde', is brilliantly stupid to see these session buffoons trying to rock with Kim Deal & co.

I agree about Paul Shaeffer and his group, they always gave the image of "posing" as part of a "real band" with "real songs" of their own.

Don was also in one of my all time fave pop bands, The Sinceros, who put out two outstanding albums in the early 80's.
