@shfdtruck6 Its possible but if they are paying for that type of service then the community needs to make some noise. I've never known a call in to beat the first due.
@astanford09 The harness is part of his personal escape system. The operator failed on this fire. The engine should of already been in pump gear before he got out of the rig. The operator on our engine would of had the lines wet before they had it flaked out. I don't criticize response time because you don't know the call was made and being that someone arrived in a POV I would say they're vollys
I love how everyone is criticizing the fire department about how slow they were or why it took so long to get water flowing, I guess in your perfect world their is no way the first due engine was on another call? (If you paid attention you would notice one of the men from the first engine had a climbing harnass on! This might have been a volunteer dept! as for the pump, It might take 30-60 seconds to prime before it can pump, Please factor in these things b4 assuming and dissing on your brothers
In the Firefighters defense, you must ALWAYS size up the situation before deciding on an attack on the fire. If you do not do this you can get your self and your other teammates injured or killed. How far was the station from this particular location? Where was the hydrant? Was the nearest hydrant even serviceable? These are things that all play a role in how fast water can be put on a fire so keep that in mind people.
RPM's are way too high, bad water pressure. Relief valve set ???
