Hi everybody!

This is it... this is what you've been waiting for!

This song will be on my "Welcome Home" album, which will be released on November 9th. The song is called "Picturesque". It's technically a fast song, but it's got all sorts of lyrical chords in it, which is nice. The song was written and recorded at home on our farm in New Hampshire- a very picturesque setting indeed.

Hope you like it!
Matt

  • Thank you Maramazone! I love it here at Berklee, and I'm definitely learning a lot here.

So these chords are "watercolored"... that's a cool way to describe it! I'm curious about what my other songs would be if this one is "watercolored"...

    Thanks again.

  • Now I learn that Matt is at Berklee. Awfully good for him!....He'll wrap up lots of musical knowledge and experience while in there and will eventually get on top of the jazz ladder worldwide.

  • Amazing composition. This is a jewel. Thanks!

  • Howdy from Tejas !

Your music [and the MST stuff] are really great - they are played all the time, all around here at the house.

  • This is REALLY beautiful! I picture sitting on a mountaintop overlooking a never-ending majestic view...with the wind blowing my hair and the tall grasses on which I'm sitting! Ahhh

  • Well done matt, love the watercolored chords! Nice choice. Really enjoying all your music and also liked your radio interview with Marian McPartland. Wish you all the best in your studies!
