***Since the Sprint Cup cars hit Pocono Raceway for the Pennsylvania 500 this weekend, I figured it would be a good time to upload the 2001 running of this race, back when it was run in late July. Todd Bodine picks up his 2nd pole of the season with June winner Ricky Rudd starting
2nd.

As was the tradition during the 2001 season, lap 3 was silent to honor the memory of Dale Earnhardt.***

Mike Skinner was hurt pretty bad at a crash at Chicagoland just 2 few weeks earlier so Robby Gordon replaced him until Mike returned at Michigan. Later on though Robby would replace Mike for good starting at Kansas.

not a big Kurt Busch fan but I love his 2001 scheme with Sharpie on board...
