@concerto404 and @ramafia09,
Thanks both of you for your answers, i'm still a little bit confused about this quote but you've really helped me. Sage writes great lyrics and it would be shameful not trying to understand it. Thanks again, and i'm sorry if i made english mistakes. :)

I think Sage is referring to his experience of break-up, which led to loss of self control. His wreckless way in which he interpreted his break-up that leads to a downward spiral of re-thinking his idea of faith ( "harder to swallow than pride"). All this while she gracefully signed off and left.

i have L"I" FE tattood on my neck and a huge escape artist back piece , love this song , cant wait till he comes back to london

@psychicvibrations No Sage.
Sole, Slug, Dose, and Alias.

@Haqq360 i got that tattooed on my bottom lip :]

The cursive/sloppy refers to the sterotypical male female roles of the subtitle females and abdravise blunt males

@Guyrollaz i could be completely wrong but my interpretation of it is primarily a play on words. writing off the world implies that said person is giving up what they live for (or what the world is forcing them to live for), but since he uses the word "write" that opens up the possibility to treat it as an actual physical thing that they are doing. They are literally *writing* off the world. the whole sloppy/cursive thing im really unsure about, but im assuming its a commentary on gender roles.

Hi everyone, I'm french and I really love this song but I need your help to understand the meaning of that quote :
"when a boy writes off the world it's done with sloppy misspelled words, if
a girl writes off the world it's done in cursive."
You can explain it in english of course :) Thanks.

@stopmotiondoctorwho1 Yeah, I know Atmosphere very well, and Aesop too.. Damage is a good song, but after looking I thought the whole album was good pretty much. "Any Port" "Damage" "Xaul Zan's Heart" and "Tolerance Level" all are really good imo.
Seriously one of the best written songs of all time of any genre
