@kekurike not exactly. he's saying that most korean people believe that it is impossible for a korean to be gay; they think it is something foreign or "exotic" to be gay. This thought process is reflected on the society itself, so even though there ARE plenty of gay koreans out there, they are essentially invisible.

@fuckgd1 yeah i can see how people might misunderstand the korean culture. it wasn't really like this before the 2000 at all but i think korean entertainment changed a lot of the male culture although it doesn't mean they're homosexual or even bisexual. as far as i see, japan seems pretty liberal while i know for sure that korea is still significantly conservative especially with homosexuality. like i used to hold hands with my female friends in korea but its not weird, just close friends.
