This is a prototype of our electric trimaran. Due to it's electric drift it has no emissions what so ever.

  • Is this Video time-lapsed ?At least it looks like it is .

I am sure by using modern materials and technologies (Like LiIon Batterys or H2 Fuel Cells for Power) electric boats could really become a competition. H2-Fuel Cells are especially suited for marine use, because you could create your own fuel anywhere on the water by harvesting Wind or Solar Energy... Or you just plug it in at the Marina...or fill it up with H2 bought in the Marina. lots of flexibility, possibly infinite range.

  • No, this Video is not time-lapsed.

  • Very interesting. I wonder how far can it go before the batteries run out.

  • @snufflehund408 100nm at 5 knots, 30nm at 8.

  • Answer to gshjetne: because it is the most efficient hull there is.

  • Convert it a little bit to do an ocean crossing...be the first to put this boat on the map. If people can do it with a rowboat or kayak why not this thing? Just needs more solar panels.

  • Thsi looks like some futuristic boat. It looks right for todays world

  • how fast is it only on runnin on solar energy?

  • looks like a 3 point hydro running backwards with an extended fuselage. Don't suppose you have the power needed to get a hydro up on plane, Interesting hull design to say the least though. It is stream line, kinda like a canoe with out riggers on the back for stability? Do those tunnels provide any lift or are they just to reduce the surface area in contact with the water. What are your goals for this craft? How do you suppose this hull would handle a bit more speed?

  • Zero emission?? how did you build the boat...out of wood with an ax?

  • Zero emission?? how is that possbile...how do you charge it...windpower?...wawepower?

  • Very Cool, I like the solar panels built in, smart. Fast hull design, its a win win. I wonder what it would take to make one on a larger scale to hold more people and have longer range. ???

  • wheres the 50ft yacht to run this piece of crap over when you need one??

  • @Zeroemissionboats

Then your product is a fail. If the solar panels are only for longtime charging it's useless to bring them along and design space on the boat itself to accommodate for the panels. Leave the panels at the dock if they have no use during the ride.

  • NICE WORK! how could anyone say something negative about a piece of art and creation from ones own mind? The many hours that have been spent, time effort and energy. not to mention, money.

THIS ROCKS!!!! and dont let anyone tell you different. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! i am also working on electric outboards from POWER TOOLS!~ what fun we have! ~also have tri hull small boat design~on paper :( WOW! 2 see your actual prototype underway!!! lets hook up! make more videos! & THANKS 4 THE INSPIRATION!

  • Put a 200 hp Mecury Outboard on the back and hang on screw the battery nonsense

  • @koglowa

No, i meant generators =D (for electrolysis)
