@EPICCCP Yes, it was. It was over a hundred years ago. They tried to take Tibet when China was starting to fall, because they thought Russia might take it if they don't.

kind of ironic that dalai lama claims that tibet is hell on earth, but the reality is like 99% of tibetants live in china than outside of china (wondering why). Now, if tibet is so bad, then why are the tibetans not trying to escape?

I'm so tired of all these Free tibet bandwagon jumpers who have no idea what they're talking about. How about free Scotland and Ireland? many Scotts and Irish want independence yet they never get it.

I think, maybe it is not so much about Tibet independence. The West would find other reasons just to bully China anyway. I fear, the Western powers always did exactly that: divide and rule. It makes sense if you want to be in control.

@ ChinaTibetUnited Good posting. Most important thing is to put your sources, as in our term papers, the best is to use theirs. Then they have nothing to say. ps: try to get opinion from kmt supporters to ensure political neutrality in chinese political context. I wan't these articles to be seen as chinese view, not ccp's view.

支持"free tibet"的老外肯定从来没去过西藏。他们完全不了解中国，西藏的历史，中国人的想法，做法。而当然他们完全不了解dalai lama的现实。太可笑就是看西方人写 "free tibet, long life dalai lama" 。白痴可真多啊！这个视频不错。谢谢分享。

I talk to a westerner just now
a. Ask him about Tibet (he does not know)
b. Talk to him, he insulted me as "insane"
c. Ask him to back up what he says with arguments, he does not even have ONE SINGLE ARGUMENT
What does it say about some Westerners and "Free" Tibetans?
1. They cannot even know what they are fighting for
2. They cannot compete with Chinese because they are very thick skinned to admit they are wrong
