@brazovaldo : let me give understanding of how mean the true inventor of mod will always goes to British youths; if you are a chef you can take the spice from anywhere in this world and mixes into original and authentic dish, then the American people (as they usually do ..) recognizes and claims even after the dishes are popular and loved and idolized stout people in the world simply because, one basic spice was came from their country

I don t understand all these people joking about american mods,I mean,i am not american but what s the problem??mods used to have french hairstyle,,italian scooters,and american parka,,and don t forget that in the beginning they use to listen ,,just..american jazz and rithm n blues,,so,,maybe the world is smaller than we think it is,,and i like to know that to the other side of the world there are some mods riding with vespa!!!

@Thunderspaz So true! Interesting comments here about The Who being faux/bona fide mods. They were a mod band albeit with grumblings from John but Roger did love the scene. Keith liked it too (and his surf.) PT was a genuine mod and the band were mods from 64 to late 65/early 66 as I've said. I hope younger people understand that they were actually a mod band but are primarily a rock group. They were there in the London scene, albeit a bit late! Pete Meaden was the instigator.
