    My assumption is that people post the quote to say "This is my favorite line from your skit, whoever wrote that is a comedic genius and should get a pay raise." Then other people "like" that post in agreement.

    When that post gets a critical number of "likes" they sack all the other writers and give that one his own gold plated hooker.
