1) Amway launched in 1959 with one of the world's first biodegradable cleaners, LOC.

2) Nutrilite grows plants for its concentrates on two continents, with farms in California, Washington State and Mexico in North America and Brazil in South America.

3) Amway's founding families are still at the helm. Steve Van Andel and Doug DeVos carry on the legacy of their fathers, steer the company in innovative new directions.

4) Amway manufactures products in Ada, Michigan; Buena Park and Lakeview, California; and Guangzhou, Guangzhou Province, China.

5) Amway holds more than 700 patents, with hundreds more pending.

6) In 2009, Amway affiliates in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden are celebrating their 10th anniversary.

7) Australia was Amway's first overseas market. Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel used to joke that they chose Australia because if they didn't succeed, no one would ever know. Rich had also said he liked the people and there were lots of them!

8) Each year Amway and Access Business Group process 79.2 billion orders.

9) Amway's One by One campaign has helped more than 6 million children worldwide through more than $70 million and 1 million volunteer hours given by company employees and independent business owners.

10) Amway's Artistry brand manufactures and ships more than 150 million units of cosmetics annually.
