i've always thought that a fishing lure should look like what the fish are used to eating. as a bass fisherman i know that bass eat primarily other fish. that is why i tried to make a lure that resembled a fish in looks and swimming motion. this is a rainbow trout that is approx. 8" long and slowly sinks at rest. these are stocked in California and other west coast lakes by the various state fisheries. in the spring they are a favorite prey for the largemouth bass. hopefully they will be effective.

  • thats awesome

  • @Nnells421 lake erie is one of the best places in the world to catch small mouth bass.... a couple of 6pounders in a day is not uncommon....

  • Wow, I wish I lived in an area where bass get big enough to even consider hitting an 8 inch lure. Unfortunately in Ohio, the biggest bass I ever caught was 6 lbs. Most are in the 12-16 inch and 1-3 lbs range.
