@yogini1992 if u read Just Kids (as you said you did) you would know he took the cover pic for horses and plenty of other covers for patti.

wow i can't believe i didn't realize he took several of the most iconic pictures not only of patti smith but of rock, for instance her for the cover of her album "Horses." amazing photographer and artisti indeed.

this is beautiful. i just finished reading "Just Kids" and it is truly a special book. good song choices from Patti Smith...you might want to change the song listen it says "Peter Gabriel-In Your Eyes"....haha but anyway nice video thank you

Yes! Patti Smith's book "Just Kids", about her and Robert is one of the most inspiring I have ever read. Highly recommend it.

I don't know much about Mapplethorpe, but I think I know his intent with his explicit artwork. He was calling people on their hypocrisy. He put their own lives whether through activity or thought right in their faces. It's all bullshit. Example: A woman can go to a community swimming pool in a skimpy bikini, but if she shows up in her bra and panties she can be arrested even though they're the same articles of clothing, basically. Lots of bullshit in life if you dare to think about it.
