Iowa Hawkeye Football 2000-2009

The Iowa Hawkeyes posted an 80-45 record between 2000 and 2009. They won the Big Ten twice (2002 and 2004), appeared in six January Bowls, including two BCS appearances (2003 Orange and 2010 Orange).
The Hawkeyes had a Heisman candidate in Brad Banks who finished second in the 2002 race to USC's Carson Palmer.
Many Hawkeyes won individual awards during this time including the Mosi Tatupu Award for the nation's top special teams player (Kahlil Hill), the John Mackey Award for the nation's top tightend (Dallas Clark), the Davey O'Brien Award for nation's top quarterback (Brad Banks), the Lou Groza Award for the nation's top kicker (Nate Kaeding), the Outland Trophy for the nation's top lineman (Robert Gallery), and the Doak Walker Award for the nation's top runningback (Shonn Greene),

@gohawkeyes529........Good Video - Only Thing that woulda been better would have been to keep the highlights of the decade going on in succession '01, '02, '03, etc. like you started out doing in the video. Then end with records again wisky and minesota and the like with key highlights from those games.

thanks man. I kinda had that in mind but felt that by 2002, we were well on our way and the highlites kinda ran together after that. Also, the music is just too perfect for a hits/imposing will montage. There will be more, and they'll only get better!

The hawkeyes arent looking too good right now starting out in 2012 but there is still hope we will make a bowl game this year. We can beat minnesota next week and get our record back on track. I can't wait until our freshmen grow up
