I first watched "STEEP" around 6 months ago, and have watched it many times since, although somehow, never got to the end of the film. So to me watching it made Doug Coombs one of my hero's. RIP Doug.. I remember getting up to Jackson Hole on NYE 2005 and getting on the tram.. Coombs was standing a foot away from me.. It was so cool to be sharing a tram ride to teh top of Rendezvous Mtn with a legend..

Doug was one of my top 10 people to meet before I die. He possesses every quality I aspire to have... Complete originality, humility, respectful, and some serious testicular fortitude.
He died in the noblest of ways which will only cap his legendary career.
