Wow! I remember that Physo-Hex ad that leads this off. I thought it sounded a lot like the First Edition, who had had several hits at that time. I know this ad was on the radio in the Washington, DC, area in the summer of 1970. As soon as this video started up, a voice inside my head said, "Kenny Rogers," because he was, of course, the lead singer of the First Edition, the group that I thought and still think was doing that ad. He was not yet a superstar at the time.
