  • This is good stuff, it is people like you that keep people smart, do you know how long it would take to research all of the stuff you have shown? forever, and to get it right too.

  • Thanks, It took me quite a while to figure this out but as always I am willing to share what I know with all that want to listen.

  • Can you share the trick for centering in a four jaw [independent] chuck, that is if you haven't already?

  • I showed the set-up for doing this in the video so I am not sure what you are asking.

  • YoU have got to be the only person that I have ever seen take a chuck off a lathe in order to preserve accuracy.

  • With the sherline equipment this is a very accurate way to move the part from the lathe to the mill. It seems that sherline has done a very good job in making there equipment and chucks.

  • I think he meant the actual adjustment of the jaws to centre the mandrel.

  • Where'd you get that particular thre jaw chuck for a sherline lathe?

  • Yes you are correct I am only talking about standard involute gears here so the other calculation will not apply. Thanks for the comment I hope that the videos help in some way for you.
