Unquestionably, a very powerful performance by Streisand & Patinkin allowing the audience to become if you will, voyeuristic in a cloud of human emotions. Furthermore, I totally agree with you Kanddt, Streisand has the gift that many envy and few posses. Undoubtedly, this film remains of one my favorites~

Compassion can be found in any race, sex, age, orientation, class, religion, etc. It is sad when it isn't. A compassionate person doesn't like to see any living person or thing suffer in any way. Life is too hard for all of us sometimes. Some of us just don't talk about it. This was probably one of my very favorite movies because it reminds you of how similar we all are as human beings, with our own secrets, sorrows, and joys. Barbara's voice is such a gift and so is this movie.
