Hawaiian Vacation Episode 10

(Nick's POV:)
Sneaking back into the Guest House, Marissa had just finished dressing after her mid morning shower. I sat in the living room.
"Where did you go?" Marissa asked, following me out.
"Uhm, I went for a little walk in the garden." I smiled at her.
Marissa smiled, with her head tilted to the right, clipped her earrings in. Marissa's eyes followed my moves.
"Ready to go have breakfast?" Marissa asked.
"Yes. Lets go." I stood up and led her towards the door.
I followed Marissa through the Garden and sat at a table located in the middle of it. Greeted her parents good morning then we sat down and began eating.
"How have you been doing in Hawaii Nick?" Marissa's Mom asked.
"Myself, I've been great, taking care of your daughter. Hopefully she's told you good things." I smiled at Marissa. Marissa smiled back.
"Then business wise, everything has been perfect. Hawaii is doing amazing, the business is booming." I stated, shoving a cut up piece of sausage into my mouth.
"So you've been making money. Thats good, you have to make the money if you're going to get married someday and have children." Marissa's Mom stated.
I choked while I drank my orange juice. Marissa glanced at me, with an odd expression. After breakfast was over, Marissa had me take her to the mall. Shopping, my least favorite option.
"Oh, babe. I'm gonna take this call outside. I'll meet you at the resturaunt upstairs." I held my phone up and exited the mall.
Selena had called me twice. I called back, sitting on the bench.
"Hey." Selena answered.
"Hey, whats up?" I asked.
"Sitting outside... Gettin my tan onnn." Selena laughed, I laughed with her.
"So, what did you call for?" I asked.
"I was wondering if you could sneak away.. say later tonight? You said we would catch up but I don't know if Marissa would get to suspicious about it. Sometime around 7 maybe?" Selena asked.
"7 is dinner with Marissa's parents, thats all we've been doing lately.. Having our meals with her parents and doing whatever she feels like. You know what though, it makes her happy. I can sneak out and meet you when everyone is sleeping. Say around 10:30?" I suggested.
"Sure, Listen I have to go Sel. Marissa's waiting to have lunch. I'll talk to you later." I hung up.
I ate lunch with Marissa then went home and laid on a water raft in the pool while Marissa laid on a reclining chair disgusted by the thought that she would get her perfect hair wet. Although, she would be redoing it for later tonight when we had dinner. Thats always the kind of thing Marissa did. She always changed her outfit, her hair, everything before anything.
"Mariss, do you think your parents like me?" I asked.
"Yes why wouldn't they?" Marissa asked.
"I don't know.." I sighed.
"Chill out Nick. Don't flip about it. Don't need worry lines, thats the last thing we need." Marissa stated.
I nodded.. Translating her words into my mind. I pushed the raft over to the side of the pool and reached for the towel, dried my hands and picked my phone up.
New Text Message From: Selena Gomez
I opened it and read the message.
Text; Hey, I Can Do The Beach Tonight, Justin Got Caught Up In Something, Can You Still Sneak Out? You Highschooler, Sneaking Out(:
I smiled and clicked reply.
Text Back; I Will Try To. No Promises. I'm Pretty Sure I Can Sneak Out. Marissa is A Heavy Sleeper.
I waited, floating away from the side I was careful not to come in contact with the water.
Text' Sweet.. What Is She Like?
Text Back; I Can Tell You All Tonight. Have To Save Some Conversation, Huh?"
Text; I Guess So(: I Have To Go, I'll Text You Around 10.
I smiled again.
"What do you keep smiling at? Who are you talking to?" Marissa asked, curious.
"Talking to my mom babe." I looked at her.
"How is she?" Marissa questioned.
"She is good.. Taking it day by day." I looked around.
Carefully, climbing off the raft and holding my phone up as I pushed through the water that was up to my belly button. I walked towards Marissa, leaned down and kissed her lips gently. Pulling back, I smiled.
"Better start getting ready for dinner." I kissed her again then walked inside the house.
Dinner time rolled around and Marissa was exhausted, leaning on me and everything I slid my arm around her waist.
"What's going on Marissa?" Marissa's Dad asked.
"Just drained. I sat in the sun awhile." Marissa sighed.
"Should we cut dinner short?" Marissa's Dad asked.
"If you want.." Marissa closed her eyes against my shoulder.
"Yeah, how about you go lay down. We can do dinner tomorrow too." Marissa's Dad looked at us.
I stood up, I helped Marissa to her feet and I wrapped my arm around her waist supplying something for her to lean on. I led her to the Guest House.
"Nick, I am so tired." She pouted.
I walked out, sneaking passed the gates, walking to the beach. Marissa was fast asleep. I texted Selena and had her meet me there. I sat in the sand, sighed.
