  • The sounds could have been improved. It should have came on a commodore cartridge.

  • if it was on a cartridge the sounds would have been the same!

  • cartridges had more room than tapes. They had about what? 1KB on each side? Cartridges had between 4-10MB back in the '80s.

  • Indeed they may have been larger inside but the data would have been the same as the commodore had only a limited amount of memory to process data on a cartridge. Perhaps the game might of had more levels or more selection of music and sounds but the limitation of the sounds was due to the memory of the computer and the SID chip, not the medium size. However the SID is a fabulous music chip no less

  • this game was rubbish compared to turbo outrun and also europa... check out powerdrift / turbo charge by chris butler... appart from the obvious classics like pitstop 2 / buggy boy.. this game was really hyped and mediocre at best.. compared to the above mentioned.

  • Turbo outrun was not good compared to this game, it was laggy and not as enjoyable as this game IMO

  • You could load different routes? damn i didnt figure that out when i used to play this, i would just always play the first one over and over again. I was only about 7 years old at the the time.

  • The C64 version plays rather well despite been slagged on at the time - at least i think it was

  • magical sound shower is the best song this game kicks ass

  • Please note the back ground noise is from the audio connection from the commodore 64 to my sound card!
