  • NO ITEMS R'S HOW THA GAM WAST MENT 2 BE PLAYED UHH WHY DON'T THE NOOBS KNOW THAT?

But really. Items are on by default. Sure I don't like 'em but it is how the game was meant to be played.

  • @YTSlakteren If you had a baseball bat and someone broke into your house and tried to kill you would you A. defend yourself with the bat or B. not defend yourself with the bat because it is only intended for baseball and not hitting people.

What if he is attacking you with a bat? Still can't use that bat because that's not how it was meant to be used?

  • @dashdancedan sorry but that's probably the worst analogy I've ever heard

  • @LeperAffinity Maybe, but that's not the point. The point is, the game can be played however you want, I don't think the designers of the game would be mad at you if you didn't use items. (I means there's an option to turn off items built into the game) The designers of the game wanted it to be fun and to sell a lot of copies, I don't think they give a shit if you use items or not.

  • @YTSlakteren Also, no is claiming the game should be played any particular way. The competitive community simply finds items to add too much random chance to a match. (Similar to how there are rules in any sport and that rules can and have changed to better suit the competitiveness of said sport)

  • @YTSlakteren So logically, anything that is the default setting should be considered the right way to do things? Damn it, better turn everything in my house off seeing as off was the default setting for the lights, heating, television, consoles. Better go back to using Internet Explorer also, screw it, who need clothes? The default setting for humans were without clothes.

  • you have ot figure some of those characters were designed with items in mind and thats why their never played in non item serious matches.

  • @egomaniac654 Did you try talking to one yet? Thats sick.

  • @Dome98Otaku Talking to you is like talking to a rock.

  • @sizzle9000 I wouldnt say the person had luck.

  • @Dome98Otaku OKAY. YES. Everyone has the same chances. But that doesn't mean there isn't luck. Your logic is flawed. If someone won the lottery, would you say that they weren't necessarily lucky because anyone who bought a lottery ticket had the same chances of winning as the winner did? Of course not!

  • @sizzle9000 There is no luck in programs everyone has the same chances.

  • @Dome98Otaku Um? That's the definition of getting lucky with an item. It's the fact that everyone has an equal chance of getting a Bob-omb or a Starman, but since one person will be LUCKY enough to have it pop up right next to them, then that's getting lucky with an item. Not really understanding what you're trying to say.

And who wants to see a match decided by luck?

  • @sizzle9000 Lucky with an item? Everyone has the same probabilities to get a good item.

  • GOD! AND I THOUGHT MY NEW HEADPHONES ARE BROKEN AGAIN :(

  • "Ignorant comments will be removed"

Hmm... I see a lot of ignorant comments. Just sayin'.

Seriously though, this video I guess can prove how items can make an unfair match, but really... I think it's quite silly to take a game like Super Smash Brothers so seriously. I personally play video games to have fun, not to be the best. But 'eh, that's just my take on it...
